Freedom Mentor Review

Have you ever considered being a real estate investor? To be honest, even though I have a friend who has done some real estate investing, it's never really crossed my mind as something I could do. But, when I was given the opportunity to read and review How To Be A Real Estate Investor by Phil Pustejovsky, I thought it would be interesting, and some good information.

You may be thinking, "How could I ever get involved in something like real estate investing? I'd never be able to do that!" If that's your thought, or if you're interested in finding out how to get started, or maybe even WHY you'd want to get started in real estate investing, this is a book you'll want to read.

I found this book to be a rather interesting read. The author starts out by discussing why be a real estate investor, and then a chapter on how to think like an investor. This chapter is a great inclusion, because knowing how to do something doesn't always mean you'll excel at it. As the author states, "Having all the knowledge on how to invest will be worthless unless you have your head on straight." As a martial artist, the mental aspect of something is always a focal point for me. I like that you're not just given instructions on how to get started investing, but it delves deeper into the mindset needed. At the end of this chapter is also a link to an investor IQ exam, so you can gauge how well you think like an investor!

Overall, the author seems to cover (at least briefly) most aspects of real estate investing, at least enough to get someone started. He points out pitfalls and things to avoid, what to look for in a property, and basically summarizes the world of real estate investing. Throughout the book you will find "real world examples", and also "wisdom keys", that cover an especially important issue. This book is great to get a beginner or "wannabe" investor started. Yes, there were some terms used I wasn't familiar with, but these were explained clearly enough that I got a grasp of what was being discussed.

In closing, let me share a quote from Andrew Carnegie, found in the first chapter of this book: "90% of all millionaires become so through owning real estate." Wow! If that doesn't catch your attention and make you at least consider real estate investing, I don't know what else would!

I received a copy of this book free of charge to facilitate the review.  This post was created in partnership with Mom Buzz Media and all views and opinions expressed above are my own.
