Give A Gift Of Meaning This Holiday Season! #Giveaway

While grocery shopping a few weeks ago, I noticed a woman's t-shirt that read "Christmas is the season of giving...so give me, give me, give me!" Now, I know the shirt was meant to be funny, but it struck me the wrong way. How many children, teenagers, and even adults, saw that shirt, and didn't even realize how selfish that was?! Christmas is supposed to be the season of giving-to others. To others who maybe don't have all the resources and luxuries we have, maybe not even the necessities like we have. That's why I'm so thrilled to be working with this company for the 3rd year in a row-a company that knows the meaning of giving, and allows others the opportunity to be a part of making a difference.

World Vision inspires you to get more creative-and giving-this holiday season, with their 2014 Gift Catalog. You can browse the catalog, find a gift you like, and purchase it. While getting a very unique and special gift for someone on your list, you will also be helping a child, family or community that doesn't have all the benefits we have here in America.

I received the Prosperity Cinnamon Box for review from World Vision, and it is the most delightful gift! If you have a baker on your list this year, this is something they will love. The box is carved from cinnamon bark, and tucked inside is 3 ounces of the most delicious, fragrant cinnamon I've ever tasted/smelled! I'm serious; I could smell the cinnamon before the package was even opened. I've used the cinnamon in multiple recipes in the past couple weeks, and the results were beyond satisfying-they were scrumptious! Here are a couple photos of some of these recipes; chocolate chip cookies (yes, cinnamon adds a delicious warmth to chocolate chip cookies) and cinnamon raising biscuits.

So, instead of having the attitude of "What will I get for Christmas?" this year, why not encourage the attitude of giving in your entire family? Take a look at the World Vision 2014 Gift Catalog together, and see how you can help a child or family while doing your Christmas shopping!
