Wow, am I thrilled to share this review and giveaway with you all today! A few weeks ago while browsing the internet for natural hair care ideas, I stumbled onto Organix South, a company that offered something I had never heard of before: Neem Oil hair and skin care products.
I received the TheraNeem Scalp Therape Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as a bar of Neem Soothing Therape Soap. I'm usually not a huge fan of bar soaps, because no matter how much they claim to moisturize, it always ends up drying out my skin. Because the Neem Oil, which is a main ingredient, was purported to be a great moisturizer, I tried the Neem bar soap right away. I was amazed at how soft my skin felt after washing with this soap! Instead of that dry, nasty feeling I always have after using bar soaps, my hands were soft and smooth. I love it!
However much I love the Neem soap though, my absolute favorite is the Scalp Therape Shampoo. First of all, this is a much thinner consistency than your average shampoo. The reasoning is that being more liquid-y, it will penetrate all the way to your scalp. It really does work, and instead of feeling like you have to scrub and massage the shampoo in for 60 seconds, a simple gentle massage works the shampoo down to the scalp. The best part though, is how my hair feels after using the shampoo. I literally do not even need a conditioner! It's a good strong cleanse, but also leaves my hair silky smooth and moisturized!
The conditioner, which as I said I don't have to use every shampoo, gives my hair an added dose of moisture and smooth. I like to leave it in for 3 or 4 minutes to really give it time to work; combing my hair out afterwards is a breeze-no tangles!
One last thing I will mention is that I looked at the ingredient list on the shampoo and conditioner, and I was shocked to see that water was not the first ingredient. Most hair care products use water as their base, but the TheraNeem products have Neem Leaf Extracts as the first ingredient, followed by peppermint, lemon balm, and aloe leaf extracts! There's also shea butter, neem oil, and various other extracts that are great for your hair-Naturally!
One of my readers will receive the same set of TheraNeem products!!a Rafflecopter giveaway
