As promised last week, today I want to walk you through what a week of Kettlebell Kickboxing looks like. If you haven't figured it out by now, let me just tell you...I am in love with this fitness program, and it has far outshone any other program I've used! So follow along with me, and see what it's like to be a part of Kettlebell Kickboxing...
Monday. The first day back after Sunday's rest. However, unlike other fitness dvds and programs I have tried before, even after a day off I'm excited about getting to work out today! On the 4th week of the program we start off with the Arms dvd. Don't think that you'll just be standing around doing curls, pulls and presses though! Dasha gets you a full body workout with some strong cardio too, with a focus on the arms. While the traditional curl is there (only a little different since you're curling a kettlebell), you won't recognize most of these arm exercises. You will feel it though, and enjoy the fact that you get cardio and arms done in just about 35 minutes-no need to spend hours toning your arms!
Tuesday-Since we're nearing the end of the program, we've got Cardio Doubles today-just like it says, it's a workout using 2 kettlebells! Yes, it is tough! It's fun though, even as you're sweating and gasping for breath. In just 30 minutes, you can burn 500 calories using double the kettlebells!
Wednesday-Butt dvd. This is definitely one of the best "backside" dvds ever. Again, even though the focus is on a certain part of the body, you still work the entire body. However, the glutes do get a tougher workout today, and yes, you will be feeling it on Thursday morning! It's a good feeling though, and I love it!
Thursday-Back to the Cardio Doubles. We're nearing our goal, so it's important to kick up the challenge a couple notches, and this is the way to do it. Guaranteed, if you can make it through Cardio Doubles, you have come a long way from your first week of Kettlebell Kickboxing!
Friday-Today it's Abs, and as I mentioned before-I love this dvd! I have noticed my core getting stronger and my abs getting tighter after a few weeks of Kettlebell Kickboxing, and this is the biggest reason why. I love that instead of all the traditional crunches and planks, Dasha changes it up with some fun toe touches, adds some zig zags to the planks, and really makes this a fun ab workout. You will be feeling your abs at the end, but you'll also be sweating, and realize you worked your entire body yet again!
Saturday-This is kind of an "active rest" day. It's time for the Joint Mobility dvd, which is a 30-minute program designed to stretch your muscles out, and work on mobility. It's fun, it's tough, and it's important! So many fitness programs totally leave out anything like this, and especially with my martial arts training, I know how important it is to take a day to cool it down, and ensure you're not overworking the joints. This is such a benefit for athletes, martial artists, dancers...and any woman who wants to feel good!
So there you have it-a week of Kettlebell Kickboxing workouts! I can't say it enough-if you're a woman that has been looking for a workout program designed by and for women, this is what you need! There are modifications on each dvd, so if you're worried about not being able to keep up-don't! I guarantee you will gain strength and endurance while using this program, and at the end of 60 days-you will be amazed at yourself! I have 1 week left of the program, and I am so excited about sharing the final results with y'all-so check back next Saturday!
