Nourish Your Skin With Organic Care!

I have to admit that even though I love cold weather, and even enjoy the snow we've had on and off the past few months, there is one aspect I could do without-the affect it has on my skin! Since November, I have literally gone through 10 lotions and creams, trying to find one that would keep my hands soft and prevent chapping. My arms and legs are fine with just a basic lotion-because they're covered whenever I'm outside, I can just apply lotion once a day, and that pretty much works. My hands though-to be honest, they look terrible! I have been rubbing lotion or cream on no less than 7 or 8 times a day, to no avail. All that changed a couple weeks ago however, when I received a couple products from Nourish Organics.

I received the Organic Body Wash in Fresh Fig, and Organic Body Butter in Lavender Mint for review. Let me get my body wash mention out of the way first,  so I can rave about the shea butter uninterrupted! Just kidding; the body wash is actually really great. It is made with aloe and shea butter (among other natural ingredients) so it really hydrates your skin. I love the extra clean feeling I have after use though; it's not one of those washes that leaves your skin feeling like it just got rinsed off, and not washed. The fresh fig scent is very mild, and very unique. Honestly, I don't know that I've ever used a fig scent before, but I really like it now. Even a couple hours after a shower, I can still catch a hint of the fig aroma, and it's just so clean and lovely!

As much as I like the Nourish Organic Body Wash though, the real star of the show for me is the Organic Body Butter. To tell the truth, I tried a little when the products first came in, and I didn't care for it-the butter left my hands greasy and I can't stand that. I got desperate a few days later though; my hands were chapping really bad, and just felt horrible. So, as I prepared for bed, I rubbed on some of the shea butter, and instead of going "Eew, I have to wash this off right away" I actually left it on. To my surprise, within 2 minutes the oily feeling was gone, and I realized the shea butter had soaked in to my skin! When I got up the next morning I was amazed to see how soft and smooth my hands looked. No, not tv-commercial-perfect, but so much better than they had since November! With just a couple days use, my hands were back to normal, and I haven't had any worries since. I only have to apply the shea butter morning and evening, unless I'm outside without gloves for an extended period of time-then I use a little when I come back inside as well. If you have any dry skin problems, or can't keep your hands soft in the cold weather-I can't recommend the Nourish Organic Body Butter enough!! Oh, and the lavender mint fragrance? Simply beautiful!
