Wow, last week was just busy, busy, busy! We have friends visiting from out of state, and Friday afternoon/evening we took a "short" road trip with them. We didn't get home until 3:00 in the morning-yeah, not that short, I guess. But it was so much fun, and totally worth the long day! Because I knew we would be gone until late, I made sure to get my workout in that morning before we left, and I was excited to try a new dvd program-the Ballet Physique!
Ballet Physique is, as it sounds, a fitness program that combines strength training with classical ballet, to create a totally unique, totally FUN workout experience like no other I've ever done! I received the Ballet Physique DVD Collection + Exercise Ball. This set includes the Signature Sculpt dvd, Amped Up dvd, and the exercise ball for use with the dvds. The best part about Ballet Physique? You don't need a ballet barre; you can simply use a chair or table! The Signature Sculpt dvd is a longer workout, right about 60 minutes. This one concentrates more on muscle toning, and uses lighter weights. I think this will be for the days when I have some extra time, maybe twice a week. I don't often have an hour straight to workout at home, but I will be making time because I really like the workout! I love how it helps with flexibility as well; this will really be valuable for my martial arts training.
Watch this clip from the Amped Up dvd:
My favorite dvd is the Amped Up; partially because it's a little shorter (45 minutes) and it's a little more intense. The weight is increased for some of the workout, and it's a bit faster paced. I totally love the thigh and seat segments; such a great burn in the muscles! Honestly, though, I think both of these are workouts I will be utilizing on a regular basis. I love that they are designed for women-we want to get a lean, toned body, and this is the perfect way to do that! If you're looking for a workout program that will shape up your entire body-arms, abs, legs and glutes-this is it. If you want to get that dancer's graceful movement, and lean, beautiful body-this is it. I highly recommend The Ballet Physique for any woman who wants a new body for the new year!!

I learned the classes lead to a dramatic improvement in core strength and posture by making correct alignment an integral part of each exercise.
ReplyDeleteGreat classes! Ive been to the Littleton studio but due to scheduling am unable to continue. I noticed fantastic results in two months; the attitude they project is positive and fun!

ReplyDeleteI learned that no ballet barre is required to use the Signature Sculpt DVD.

ReplyDeleteOops, forgot to say that I'd like to try it so I can have a dancer's body!
DeleteI learned that it is a toning workout. I really like that. I have lost 60 pounds walking and eating right, and I would really love to win this to tone up. I would use it faithfully, and really appreciate it. Thank you so much for this chance. Good luck to everyone!

ReplyDeleteThe Ballet Physique is a group fitness class, not a dance class. They incorporate ballet-inspired exercises into the workout, but they are taught at a basic level geared towards non-dancers (although, dancers tend to love the classes, too!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to do Ballet for a while so this would be great!
