Cookbooks Make Great Gifts!!

What would be the perfect gift? That questions has endless answers obviously, depending on who you're shopping for. Personally, I think one of the best gift options are cookbooks! Over the past year I have come to really enjoy Robert Rose Publishing Company, and the enormous selection of cookbooks they have.

I received a few cookbooks for review from Robert Rose. They sent me: 250 Best Cookie Recipes; 250 Best Brownies, Bars and Squares; 200 Best Panini Recipes; and Easy Everyday Gluten Free Cooking.

I really enjoyed looking through all of these cookbooks to find recipes. In fact, one of the recipes from 250 Best Cookie Recipes has already become a favorite! We made the Hanukkah Cookies, which is basically a cut-out sugar cookie recipe. We used holiday cookie cutters instead of hanukkah-themed cutters, and have already made several batches! I love the extra flavor the nutmeg adds; just a hint of that spice really amps up the flavor from your typical sugar cookie! We frosted them with the vanilla icing recipe also found in the book, and this has also become a favorite-it is sooo delicious, and very easy to make!
We even made some TaeKwonDo cookies!
The recipe that caught my eye first in the 250 Best Brownies, Bars and Squares is the Gooey Caramel Pecan Chocolate Bars. I love the "turtle" flavor combination, and will be making these very soon-maybe for the holidays?!

While I haven't tried any recipes from Easy Everyday Gluten-Free Cooking yet, I am looking forward to making some. This is so handy for when we have friends visiting who are on a gluten-free diet. I will really enjoy being able to make a meal or dessert for them from now on!

If you have a chef on your holiday list this year, be sure to check out Robert Rose. They have cookbooks for literally every food, style of food, and diet imaginable!

  6. I have always been a cookbook "junky," and even now when all the books I read are ebooks, I still need a "real" cookbook. Love these in your post!
