Good Hands=Good Life

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are any of you familiar with Allstate Insurance's new theme? They're calling it "Good Hands For The Good Life" and it revolves around looking for the good in situations and life, rather than focusing on the negative. For example, instead of looking at how horrible a situation is, why not consider looking at the good?  photo allstatelogo_300x60_zps5487a605.jpg

Many of you may be familiar with the book (also made into a popular movie) Pollyanna. If you have ever read the book or watched the movie, then I am sure you remember the Glad Game Pollyanna was always playing. This is right along the same lines as Allstate's new advertising campaign, and I think it is wonderful! There are many situations we find ourselves in, and we find it easier to focus on the bad, rather than the potential good. For example, when your family has to move to another city/state, don't focus on what you will miss, friends you won't see as often, etc. Instead, why not talk up the good aspect. New adventures, new people to make friends with, a whole new area to explore! This is the kind of Allstate Good Life we can all enjoy, right?

One time I found it rather hard to look at the good life instead of the disappointment, is when we moved to northern Maine quite a few years back. We had a deal on a house, and although it wasn't signed yet, we had made an agreement with an individual. Imagine our shock when we arrived in the area, to find the deal fallen through! It was still winter (we're talking 70 below 0 wind chill factor) and we holed up for several days in a tiny motel, discussing our options. Thankfully another home soon came on the market, and it worked out perfectly for us.

Be sure to share your own Good Life story in the comments for us to enjoy!

  1. I have always love the Allstate commercials ~ they seem to touch your heart. This young girl has a great voice! This commercial really makes you stop and think. I guess my best good life story was we were about to lose our home to foreclosure when my hubby was left some money from a godfather he didn't even know he had! We now own our home outright. Prayers can be answered.
