What's In A Name (Tag)?

Well, it seems that spring might finally be here to stay! The past few days have been short-sleeve temperature (for me at least; I wear short sleeves when it's in the 50's) and I have so been enjoying it! Driving down the road today, we passed 5 or more rv's in less than 20 minutes, headed for a nearby state park. The motorcyclists are also out in full force again, which is yet another sign of warmer weather, and fun outdoor activities to participate in. More traveling too, as we have several events lined up this year to attend; some related to the blogging world, and some just for personal fun or educational experience.

A few of these events require us to wear name tags while on the premises. For example, at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair every year (yes, it's still quite a few months away but we are already making plans) each blogger is given a lanyard and plastic name tags to wear. These have your name, blog website, and Twitter handle on them, so the PR agencies and game/toy creators and owners will immediately know you are a blogger, and that you would like to feature their creation on your site. It also gives bloggers a chance to meet each other, which is pretty fun. But anyways, back to the name tags!

Have you ever been to an event that required you to wear a name tag? Do you think they are a good idea, or not-so-fun? There is one event our Church participates in every spring, and each of the children wear a lanyard with the sponsoring club's name, to hold their name tag. The back of their tag also lists each activity they are participating in, and what team they're on. This makes it super easy for us leaders (about 3 or 4 usually for over 20 kids) to keep track of who needs to be where, and at what time! Of course, at the end of the day, all of the children are excited to be able to keep their lanyard, as a souvenir of their fun day.

This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.
