Wow, have we been having loads of fun on our Florida trip!! I can not believe how fast the time is going, and how full and busy-even rushed-our days have been. One of our first stops on the trip was in the Sarasota/Bradenton area of Florida, and we found a lovely place to stay at the Hyatt Place. It is near the airport, and we were able to stay for 3 nights.
The check-in process was fast and easy, and both the ladies at the front desk were very pleasant, offering information about the hotel, amenities, and local attractions and restaurants. We were up on the 3rd floor, which the kids really enjoyed for the view. I headed up to check out the room (take some pictures before bringing our luggage in :) and was very surprised at the space and furnishings in the room!
The room was equipped with 2 queen-size beds, a 42" flat screen HDTV, large desk, small refrigerator, and a "cozy corner" sofa that pulls out into a bed.
The corner opposite the sofa has a small counter space and coffeemaker, and a refrigerator underneath, so we were able to keep snacks and drinks handy.
The bathroom was also very spacious, and was stocked with Aquafresh toothpaste, instead of those little single-use packs most hotels offer!
The next morning we were in for another pleasant surprise, as we headed downstairs for breakfast. I knew it would be a bigger breakfast than your typical continental breakfast, but this was even better than I expected! The A.M. Kitchen Skillet features breakfast sandwiches made with fresh and tasty ingredients. These had all kinds of breads, fillings and toppings, including eggs, meats, cheeses, guacamole, special sauces, and all made on anything from english muffins to wheat bread to biscuits to bagels. Of course, there's more than sandwiches available-cereals, fruit, yogurts, pastries, and oatmeal are just a few of the other breakfast items. And you can wash it down with juice, milk, or specialty coffees and teas! The breakfast is definitely a highlight of the Hyatt Place!
Honestly, after our 3-night stay at the Hyatt Place Sarasota/Bradenton Airport, our family fully agreed that it was a super hotel, and one we would definitely stay in again. If you're headed to the Sarasota/Bradenton/Palmetto area, I highly recommend you check out the Hyatt Place, especially if you're flying in/out. The hotel is located right near the airport, and offers complimentary shuttle service for guests!

Sounds great!
ReplyDeleteWow that breakfast shot made my mouth water. Though it seems like a minor thing, I think a great breakfast says a lot about a hotel's commitment to service and hospitality.
