Well, are you all settling in to the new year yet? I had to date something yesterday, and it took a minute for me to realize that 2012 was not the correct date anymore!
The products I have to share with you all today are really great. Reflections Hair Care sent me their 4 piece Hydrating Value Pack, which includes a hydrating shampoo and conditioner, Volume Gel and Thermal Protectant Spray.
If you've read any of my other hair-related posts, then you know I have hair that is extremely dry. It frizzes on the slightest whim, and I have to deal with split ends and dry, coarse hair on a regular basis. When looking for hair products, I look for the words moisture, hydrate, soft, and control! So, I was especially excited about trying out the hydrating shampoo and conditioner!
These 2 items are comparable to the Matrix Biolage Hydrating shampoo and conditioner, but at a more reasonable cost. (Always a biggie for me-as important as healthy hair is, I just can't justify spending the price on some of these products!). I never evaluate a shampoo/conditioner on just 1 or 2 uses, so I took a couple weeks with these to get a good feel for how they worked in my hair. After this time, I realized my hair was actually feeling more moisturized and soft; less of the coarse, dry look! There was a difference in the frizz as well; while I still have frizz-prone hair, I don't think it's as bad when I use the Reflections shampoo and conditioner!
The Volume Gel is a nice, lightweight styling product that gives you control (one of my favorite words!) without stiffness or that "glued" look. This is great for controlling both frizz and the waviness of my hair, and adds shine as well.
I don't personally use heat tools on my hair, so I gave the Thermal Protectant Spray to my sister who occasionally uses a flat iron or blow dryer. She has only used it a couple times so far, but said it works very well. This styling aid protects your hair from the effects of heated tools, and gives some extra shine and hold.
Reflections has a great line of hair care products for various hair needs, so be sure to check them out!
