How many of you have ever completed an online survey? It seems like every site on the web has a satisfaction survey for customers to take, and I often fill out a survey after purchasing an item. This is a great way for companies to see where they need to improve, how they can better satisfy a customer, or hear what they're doing just right! Plus it gives us, the customer, an easy way to share the good and bad about our experience-much quicker and easier than making a call and being put on hold for endless minutes.
I recently learned about an online software survey through Qualtrics, a company that offers amazing services. While researching this site, I learned that all 30 of BusinessWeek's Top 30 Business Schools use Qualtrics. That is truly an amazing recommendation! Of course, all that means nothing if the software isn't easy to utilize, but surprisingly, this appears to be handled just as easily by a novice as a computer geek :) Another aspect that I like is Qualtrics has "Qualtricians", specialists that are ready and waiting to help with any questions you may have while creating an online survey.
One use for online surveys that I wasn't familiar with until recently is an employee survey. It does make good sense though! What better way to gather information-good or bad-from your employees, than with a survey? I imagine this is a great tool for businesses, whether large or small. With an employee survey you can learn who is committed to their job, who enjoys it, suggestions they may have for improvements, and other helpful details. Once again, Qualtrics can help with this, and they offer what looks like a great tool to creating an employee satisfaction survey.
What about you? Have you ever participated in an online survey, or an employee satisfaction survey? Do you think they're good, bad, helpful? Share your thoughts!
