Natural Beauty With Tatcha-Review and Giveaway!!

It's not often that I try a beauty product or routine that I absolutely fall in love with. Many companies seem to over-advertise, and the product doesn't deliver the results promised. When I discovered Tatcha, I honestly was expecting more of the same. A reasonably good product that didn't, however, live up to the advertising. Boy was I wrong!

I received a Tatcha Sampler Set, which included the following: Pure Cleansing Oil, Polished Rice Enzyme Powder (in Gentle, Classic and Deep formulas), Radiant Deep Brightening Serum, Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream, and Petal Fresh Japanese Beauty Papers. The Tatcha ritual basically has 4 steps that you follow morning and evening; cleanse, polish, brighten and moisture.

I was honestly very leery of the Cleansing Oil at first. It goes against everything you've ever heard-cleaning your face with oil?! The cleanser is made with a blend of camellia and rice bran oils, and smells absolutely wonderful! It's also unique in the method, in that you don't wet your face, lather, etc. Instead you rub a nickel-sized amount onto your dry face for about 10-20 seconds. Then, rinse off with warm water. I was seriously amazed that using this product didn't leave my face feeling oily or greasy-just clean!

The next step, Polished, involves the Rice Enzyme Powder. I used this in the evening, and it's my favorite product from Tatcha. After cleansing, pour a teaspoon of the powder into wet hands. Lather up, and gently massage onto wet skin. It's recommended to start with about 20 seconds, but you can work up to 1 minute of use. Rinse away, and you can literally feel the difference! I love the soft, smooth skin this leaves me with!

The Radiant Deep Brightening Serum is my second favorite product. It hydrates the skin, and evens the skin tone-leaving you with healthy, beautiful skin. It's a very light formula, which I really like. Not too heavy or greasy for the hot weather we've been having!

The last step in the ritual, Supple, involves the Moisture Rich Silk Cream. Again, this product surprised me. Usually creams are too heavy for my skin, and I end up washing them off within a few minutes of application. I can't stand being able to feel anything on my face! With how rich this cream is, I was expecting to have the same problem. Amazingly, I didn't. It packs a powerful hydration treatment, yet it's weightless-once it's massaged into your skin, you forget it's there! Made with liquid silk among other ingredients, believe me when I say this is a rich moisturizer that leaves your skin quenched!

The Petal Fresh Beauty Papers are yet another unique product from Tatcha. These whisper-thin sheets are made with real gold, and are designed for blotting away excess oil from the face, without disturbing your makeup. I love these, and carry the pack around in my purse! They really come in handy for an evening out, and gently blot away the oil, leaving my skin clean and clear.


After a couple weeks of following the Tatcha routine, I can seriously tell a difference in my skin. I usually concentrate more on the cleansing and clearing/preventing acne, and my skin suffers from it. If there's one word to describe the Tatcha skincare routine, it would be Nourish. My skin is nourished with these products, and after just a couple weeks, I am amazed! Overall softer, smoother skin, no dry patches, much less excess oil than previously, and an even skin tone.
