Traveling Days-Etymotic HF Headset + Earphones Review!!
We all know that driving while on a cellphone isn't a good idea-in fact, in can be downright dangerous. With so many headsets on the market today, finding the perfect one may be difficult. However, I have an easy choice. Why not try the Etymotic hf2 Headset and Earphones? Before I share my thoughts about the headset, here's some information from their site:
"A no compromise, high-performance noise-isolating headset + earphones that delivers best-in-class benefits and superior value, perfectly matched to the latest product innovations from most smartphones that support a 3.5mm/4-conductor stereo phone plug."
I was very happy to include these in Traveling Days, as they actually have a dual purpose. They work great to call a friend while driving, and also to listen to music on my iPod or smartphone. (Obviously not while I'm driving). However, they make a great set of earphones for one of the kids to use if they're trying to listen to/watch something on a trip. The first thing I noticed when using the hf2 Headset was the comfort of the earpieces. The set comes with 3 sizes/styles of eartips so you can find the best fit. I was very pleased to find that the standard 3-flange fit perfect, blocked outside noise, and felt comfortable even with extended wear/use. The microphone provided better connection/clarity than any bluetooth I've used, as the mic is actually a separate piece. This is also your remote control, so you can pause/play the music, skip forward or back, and basically control your device without having to pull it out and play around with the menu. One last feature I like is that while it's designed for smartphones, Android devices, Apple products, etc., it also works with older phone models. My smartphone finally kicked the bucket, so right now I'm using an old phone. I was concerned that the headset wouldn't work with it, because this phone is several years old. However, it worked perfectly!
Check out Etymotic today; a headset is almost a necessity for any road trips or vacation you have planned this year!
