I think I've mentioned on here before about my dislike for shaving. It's just a task that I don't really enjoy, but I can't go without it. However, because I'm also very picky about having hair-free legs, it's something I have to do regularly :)
There are a couple things I have learned to make the experience, if not enjoyable, at least tolerable. And safe as well! Safety razors may sound like an odd idea for an adult, but even grown-ups have the occasional accident while shaving. So, for anyone who may care to read, here are a couple shaving tips.
First of all, be sure to get a quality razor. No, it doesn't have to be the most expensive razor on the market, but don't just grab some off-name-brand razor because it's cheap. Not that these are necessarily bad, but test it on a small area before doing a complete shave.
Early on, I also learned the importance of exfoliating right after shaving. This will really help prevent razor bumps or red marks on your skin. After all, who wants unsightly bumps all over their legs? Not me!
Finish your shaving routine off with a moisturizing lotion. I prefer fragrance free, as sometimes the perfumed lotions will irritate my skin. Moisturizing helps give you that soft, smooth feel, and also hydrates your skin.
One last tip, for anyone like me who gets shaving over with as fast as possible-check into an electric shaver. I tried one out for the first time a few months ago, and I am hooked! It really cuts down on the time it takes to shave!
Please share any tips for shaving you have-I'm always looking for new ways to make the task easier or faster!
This is a sponsored post for The Art of Shaving, however, all the points and views are my own.

Using conditioner instead of shaving lotions works really well.
