How many of you are looking forward to your summer vacation? I know I am! We don't have solid plans yet, but we're tossing around some ideas before settling on one place. While researching to find the perfect vacation spot, one name that keeps popping up is Newport Beach, California.
I love beach vacations, as long as the area isn't super-crowded. One of my favorite activities is to walk the beach in the early morning hours-before sunrise-and look for shells, enjoy the fresh air, feel the ocean breeze, and finish off by watching the sunrise. To me, that's the perfect vacation! Of course, Newport Beach offers so much more. Just a quick glance at the "Things To Do" list on VisitNewportBeach.com shows a wealth of fun vacation opportunities! Bike rentals, whale watching, LegoLand, and the famous Disneyland Resort!
Speaking of VisitewportBeach.com; if you're even looking into what Newport Beach offers, I recommend you check it out. You can find information on local hotels and lodging options, nearby attractions, events coming up, and general information about the city. Another neat page to visit on the site is the kids summer camps. There are some neat options, including the Newport Sea Base, with maritime-themed camps! Your children will learn about and experience sailing, sailboat racing, kayaking, fishing, water safety skills and much more! This one caught my eye, and sounds like something the kids would certainly enjoy. Check it out and let me know which camp your children would like best!
One lodging option that really stands out is the Hyatt Regency hotel in Newport Beach. This resort-style hotel offers guests 3 pools, whirlpools, shuffleboard, a 9-hole golf course, and ping pong! You can also take advantage of their great special right now; buy one room at full price, and receive an adjoining room for children 18-and-under at half price! What a deal, and a great plae to stay while vacationing in Newport Beach!
Watch this video below, and tell me what you think about visiting Newport Beach! Looks like a great vacation spot, huh? What would you enjoy doing if you were able to vacation there this year?
