Disposable Bowls

Well, we have company coming in soon. Some good friends who have quite a few children, and they will be staying in town for a few days to visit. I am so glad we will be able to see our friends for a week or so, but one thing I am not looking forward to is the extra dishes! I love cooking and baking for company, but the extra dishes at mealtimes-even with a dishwasher-are so...annoying! That's why I'm thankful that we'll be stocking up on disposable bowls, plates and silverware before they arrive!

Could you imagine having to wash dishes for 18 people every day for a week? What on earth did people do before there were disposable dishes?! Now, rather than spending my evenings sweating over the sink or unloading and reloading the dishwasher, I'll be able to sit and visit, play games, or join the volleyball game out back. I may even pick up some disposable cookware, so we don't even need to wash the pans!

I wrote this post for Blogsvertise and All thoughts and opinions are mine; I have not purchased or received product/services from BioandChic.

  1. The washing is a hassle...but think of the environment! All that disposal stuff isn't good. I hope you use your dishwasher and reuse :)

  2. When my family has parties with many people we always purchase disposable dishes, plates cups and silverware. At the warehouse stores, they have many different kinds, some with pretty designs, and they always look nice on the table. We purchase a large package and the price is not bad. I cannot imagine washing all these dishes and silverware, the dishwasher would always be full. Of course when there is not a lot of people we just wash our dishes and silverware.

  3. Great idea! Who needs to do all the dishes once they leave.
