I Did It With Nutrisystem!! #NSNation

I did it! I did it! If you read my update last week, I mentioned that my goal this week was to lose 2 pounds. Guess what?! I did! When I weighed in this morning, I had lost exactly 2 pounds. I am so excited, if you can't tell :) That makes 4.5 pounds lost since starting the program.
I have also lost .3 inches from my waist, for a total of 1 1/2 inches off my waist. I've also dropped 1/2 inch from my hips, and 2 inches from my thighs. I am super pleased with how well the Nutrisystem is working.

The past week has been a pretty easy one, at least as far as eating right. I stayed with the plan all week, and have started increasing my veggie intake. Some days I miss the required 4-servings of vegetables a day, but I did find an easy way to get them in. I've been roasting all kinds of vegetables with just a spritz of cooking spray and some herbs, spices and seasonings. They're delicious, and I am finding some new favorites! Broccoli, squash and green pepper are just awesome when roasted!

One thing I'm lovin' this week is how helpful it is to drink the recommended 64 ounces of water a day. I have to admit, this was hard at first. Water has always been my main "beverage", but I just didn't drink as much as I should have! Even now I still struggle a little just to get it all down. I usually have one cup of Splenda-sweetened tea or diet soda with dinner, and drink water the rest of the day. Not only do I feel full longer, but I have noticed it helps prevent that late-afternoon snack attack! When I keep a bottle of water nearby and sip from it consistently, I don't get as hungry. It's a win-win situation, really!
