Emani Mineral Cosmetics Review and Giveaway!!

Let me start this feature by saying that I hardly ever wear any sort of makeup. A concealer now and then, some lip gloss-that's about the extent of my makeup. (Although I have experimented with mascara a few times too). Recently I discovered Emani Minerals, and decided that if I was going to give the whole makeup thing a shot, then I couldn't do any better than mineral cosmetics. This way I was getting started with natural, paraben free, organic products. 
So, when given the opportunity to choose a product from Emani Minerals for review, I jumped at it! With the suggestion to start with one of Emani's popular How 2Be Guides, I browsed the selection and finally chose the Day Diva Box.

This set includes 1 Vegan Shadow Brush, 3 Mineral Color Dust Shadows (Safari, Sand and Peach Attitude) and a Hydrating Mineral Lipstick in the Ava color.
The set comes in a handy little box that also includes written and pictured instructions for use. 

After a deep breath and a sincere hope that my first time trying out eyeshadow went well, I proceeded to open my new tools, and stepped in front of the bathroom mirror :)

I'll just show this in pictures, as it is easier than describing it. And I do apologize for the odd angles of the pics!

Honestly, it was pretty easy to follow, and I was surprised at that. I'm not sure how professional it looks, but it did add some color and glamour to my eye area! 


The lipstick lasted a good length of time, and matches the eyeshadow quite nicely. 

So, after my trial with some "real" makeup :) I am very pleased with the results. I'm sure it will get easier and look better after some more practice too!
