Branson Blast #1-Cracker Barrel Review and Giveaway!!

Hey all, and welcome to the Branson Blast-an event that will highlight some of our favorite stops in Branson, Missouri! Of course, Cracker Barrel isn't a Branson-only restaurant, but it happens to be my favorite place to eat. And the closest Cracker Barrel to where I live is over 3 hours away! So, when planning our trip to Branson, literally the first thing I checked was for a Cracker Barrel! I was thrilled to find out there was, and even more excited when Cracker Barrel agreed to participate in the Branson Blast.

We pulled into Branson on Monday (ended up going down a day earlier than planned), and after checking into our hotel, headed out for an early dinner. You guessed it-Cracker Barrel! I love the atmosphere of these restaurants; the homey, country feel, the friendly employees, and the shopping!

We were seated immediately, and greeted by Brittany, our waitress. She was very helpful and friendly, and really made our entire experience more enjoyable. (No matter how good the food is, if your waiter/waitress isn't polite, it puts a damper on the whole meal, you know?). Once seated, it was time to order our beverages-I chose the Raspberry Lemonade, my all-time favorite. Cracker Barrel is the only place I know that serves their lemonade in frosty glasses, which adds to the old-time charm :)

After perusing the menu for a few minutes, I decided to get the Roast Beef Dinner with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Hashbrown Casserole, and a House Salad. Again, some of my favorites that I only get to taste a couple times a year when we're traveling! 

Brittany had our biscuits and salads out within minutes of placing the order.

And we had no sooner started in on the salads than our meal was brought to the table! Literally in less than 10 minutes of ordering, our entire meal was in front of us! Cracker Barrel always has great service, but this was above and beyond the norm.

As expected, the meal was delicious. The roast beef was super-tender, seasoned just right and smothered in gravy and onions. The mashed potatoes were just like homemade, and the hashbrown casserole was just perfect. C ordered the Low-Carb Roast Beef dinner, with a salad, mac n' cheese and hashbrown casserole. She said her meal was delicious as well, and had been cooked to perfection. 

So, when you take a trip to Branson, be sure to visit Cracker Barrel for a good ol' down-home meal that you don't have to cook! The Branson Cracker Barrel is conveniently located right on Hwy 76, "the Strip" so you don't have to go far off the path of shows and attractions!
