Internet Marketing Reaches Your Audience!

It seems that the days of tv commercials, newspaper ads and roadside signs being the best way to reach your target audience with information about your business, a special sale, or other marketing tool. While these methods do still reach a great amount of people, and are obviously still effective, I honestly believe internet marketing is the best way to go. Many people choose to read the morning paper online, and video streaming via the internet is becoming more and more popular, thus lessening the effect of print and tv advertising. But literally everyone I know surfs the internet, and between internet-capable smart-phones, and wi-fi hotspots springing up all over, it's easier than ever to browse the web no matter where you're at.

I know from my own experience that seeing ads while working or shopping online can and has influence my purchases, whether it's a product or service. For example, after seeing an ad for a tax company offering free e-filing tax refund services, I signed up and started filling out the paperwork (it's taking longer than I thought to get all the information in!). Or, while looking for a new camcorder not too long ago, a banner ad showed up for a Sony camcorder, and following that link ended up leading me to the model I eventually purchased. 

So am I a believer in online marketing? Absolutely! It has the potential to reach more people than just about any other marketing medium I can think of.

  1. I spend all day and night on the internet doing various stuff, and online marketing would be the only way I'd notice a company. I still watch tv, of course, but I skip through commercials anyway via the dvr.
