Learn About The HCG Diet

It seems like you hear about a new diet every day. However, many of them don't keep the weight off once you lose it-the diet is simply a 2-4 week crash that may knock a few pounds off, but doesn't help you maintain that desired weight. I recently heard about something called the HCG Diet, based on one created by a Doctor in the 1950's. When I started researching this, my sister mentioned that she had also heard of it before.

Apparently the HCG Diet works by putting you on a diet plan, as well as giving you HCG drops, which helps burn the "mobile fat" stored around your hips, thighs, etc. The HCG modifies your eating behavior, thus making it possible to not only lose weight while following the diet, but to keep it off once you've reached your goal weight!

This definitely sounds like something interesting, and I do like the fact that it's not some new fad. The HCG Diet has been around since the 1950's, and was developed by a Doctor, so it has time and experience behind it! To find out more, visit YourHCG.

SGSG-MindWare Forensic Detective's Toolkit For Kids-Review and Giveaway!!

What kind of toys and games make the best gifts for kids? Educational ones, that's what! I really enjoy being able to find a unique toy or game that is not just fun, but also teaches the child who receives it. I recently discovered a really great place to shop for just such toys, called MindWare, and I was excited when they agreed to a review and giveaway. I chose the Forensic Science Detective's Toolkit for my review. Each of the children are really interested in detective/investigative books (Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Trixie Belden, etc) so this was the perfect choice. The kit comes in a box designed to look like a briefcase, and is packed with all sorts of neat tools.

A couple weeks ago for our "girls night" we decided to make it detective night, and played a Nancy Drew game on the PC, then pulled out this kit for some hands-on experience. We started out with fingerprinting. Each of the girls used the ink-pad and fingerprint cards (included) to record their prints. Once that was done, it was time to pull out the magnifying glass and discover what type of fingerprint they have. The book that comes with this set includes a lot of information, including a section of fingerprints, so they had a great time checking their prints with the 6 types shown in the book.

Next M and M tried out the detective multi-function pen, which features a whistle, morse code alphabet, measuring stick, cartridge for writing with "invisible" ink, and a "UV" LED light to read the messages!

Not only is this the morse code alphabet, but you can also hide a secret message in this compartment...or whistle for help on the "lid" sticking up!
A measuring stick!
M also set up a little "crime scene" on the table, and used the evidence markers to notate useful pieces of "evidence".

They are already planning the next Detective night, and have asked to do the footprint plaster next time!

Udi Gluten Free Cookies-Review and Giveaway!!

If you are on a gluten-free diet, then I would like to introduce you to a company I only recently discovered myself. Udi's Gluten Free Foods sent me a package of their cookies, and I was anxious to try them. I have sampled some gluten free foods before that to be honest, just did not taste good at all! I was pleased to see 3 different varieties for my review; Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and Snickerdoodle.

I actually tasted all 3 as soon as I had snapped a couple pictures :)
To my surprise and joy, the cookies were delicious! The oatmeal raisin are my favorite. They have a very good flavor, combining certified gluten-free oats, and sweet raisins.
Can you say delicious?!
The chocolate chip cookies have that classic chocolate chip cookie goodness, and go great with a cup of cold milk! Snickerdoodles, which are one of my favorite cookies to bake, are also very yummy. These are made with cinnamon, sugar and vanilla and have a very rich taste. All 3 varieties of Udi cookies are so delicious that you will not believe they are gluten free!

I love cinnamon!
"We’d like to introduce you to Udi. Growing up on an Israeli farm full of naturally grown foods, Udi Bar-On discovered the value of high-quality ingredients. These experiences instilled his passion for finding, making and sharing great food with others. For years Udi’s family was making the best bread in Denver, one day a friend posed a new challenge – create gluten-free bread that actually tastes good.
Inspired by the request, Master Baker Chadwick White and his team of skilled bakers used their craft, applied artisan baking techniques and ultimately created the secret recipe for Udi's Gluten Free Foods.
Upon first bite, everyone was convinced that White had successfully combined the perfect ingredients for what is now known as our signature white sandwich bread.
Soon after, we reached out to a local celiac chapter and invited members to sample the freshly baked gluten-free bread. Words cannot describe the positive reactions expressed that day – people jumped for joy while others were moved to tears.
It's amazing to hear the stories and impact Udi's Gluten Free Foods has had on the lives of people across the country. We invite you to sit down, savor and enjoy your favorite baked goods again. No need to worry, we'll bake more."

One of my readers will receive 1 package each of Udi's Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and Snickerdoodle cookies!

DiscountClick Online Marketing Services!

Are you looking for a company to help you with online marketing? With print advertising swiftly being replaced by internet ads, bloggers, and other online review sites, online marketing seems like the best way to promote your business.

One of the top requirements when looking for online marketing services would be Search Engine Optimization. It is so important to be sure your company website is being sent to the proper search engines! For example, you don't want a marketing company that doesn't make use of popular engines such as Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc. I don't know about you, but practically the only search engine I use is Google!

Of course, for most of us, the cost would be the deciding factor when looking at online marketing. You can actually get link building services that start at just $25.00 for manual link building popularity. Check it out; this could be a great option for your company!

SGSG-Gallery Direct Art Makes The Perfect Gift!!

We all have at least one. A relative or friend that either has everything, or doesn't have any hobbies/interests you can "gift" to them. For me, it's my older sister. She likes to read, but you can only buy her so many books. She isn't into crafts or sewing, isn't in the kitchen a lot (she can and does cook/bake, but it isn't a hobby for her) and she's not into techie stuff much. So what do you buy? A piece of art from Gallery Direct of course! Who doesn't love a beautiful new painting to hang on their wall?
I recently received a new piece from Gallery Direct; a medium-sized gallery wrap canvas of a stunning painting called Ocean View. I browsed for quite a while before finally settling on what I wanted (check out Gallery Direct's website and you'll see what I mean). This piece just really stood out though. A rocky cliff, scattered trees and water splashing along the rocks. The mountains and clouds in the backgrounds add to the beautiful serenity shown here. I was so excited about hanging this in my bedroom!

So if you're looking for gift for that hard-to-buy-for person in your life, check out Gallery Direct! They also offer gift cards so the recipient can pick out their own piece of art, or upload a photo to create your own canvas print!

Disclaimer: I was not monetarily compensated in any way for this post. I did receive product for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are mine. All quotes taken from the Gallery Direct website.
