I don't know about you, but our family does a lot of traveling. And I mean a lot. I never get tired of it, and really enjoy seeing new countryside, new attractions and places to visit. One thing I don't like, though, is the potential for accidents. With all my years of being on the road, I have seen more than my share of vehicle accidents and breakdowns. We have had a few, but thankfully nothing serious. However, I have seen many major pile-ups, cars that rolled over an embankment, and even a semi truck that was on fire.
One time, we were traveling on a small country road with no gas stations, grocery stores or basically any businesses for quite a stretch. A semi truck passed us going the other way (and driving well over the speed limit). Right as it passed our van, we all heard a very loud noise. We all assumed one of the truck's tires had popped, and were very grateful that he hadn't lost control. A few miles down the road, we noticed our van was making a strange noise. We finally found an area to pull over, and you guessed it-it was our tire that had popped! Talk about a shock! Here we were so thankful the trucker hadn't lost control and slammed into our vehicle, and it was our tire that was flat! Needless to say, we called AAA and although it took a while, we were able to get it fixed. So as you can imagine, vehicle safety is very important to us, and I appreciate others who take the same care with their own trucks.
I am participating in a blogger campaign about parts truck by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.
