My first use was for bananas. I love using bananas in a variety of recipes-banana bread or muffins, smoothies, pancakes, cookies-the list is basically endless. However, it can get annoying when I have to mash the bananas during each recipe. I had started chopping them by hand and storing in the freezer to speed up the preparation time. But, as soon as I opened my new food processor, I knew exactly what to do! Yep, I chopped up 2 whole bunches of bananas! And it worked like a dream.

The processor was extremely easy to set up and use. You can trade out with either the 14-cup or 5-cup bowls, and there are chopping blades for each respective capacity. In addition, there is a plate for slicing or shredding various foods. I will be using this piece this weekend to make homemade french fries for family night! Our family LOVES homemade french fries, but for 8 people it gets tiresome to not only peel but also slice into the needed strips. This task will be much faster and more enjoyable with my new kitchen tool! Another recipe that will go much faster now is my chicken stir-fry. Slicing and chopping all those veggies gets very tiring, but it will be a snap now! I already used this for slicing some onion and green pepper for various recipes and it worked perfectly. I am really looking forward to trying out new ways to use this and speed up my prep time in the kitchen.
