Chuck E. Cheese's Review!!

All the kids in our family love visiting Chuck E. Cheese's (and some of the adults too! :)
Unfortunately there's not one locally, but we are often traveling and visit whenever possible. I was excited when given the opportunity to "review" our experience at a Chuck E. Cheese, and received a family pass for a large pizza, 4 drinks, and 30 tokens. When I told the kids about it they were thrilled! We planned the visit for our mini-vacation this past week, and ended up visiting in Avon, IN right outside Indianapolis. The pizza has been "remade" and the adults enjoyed it much better than the old recipe. Oddly enough, a couple of the kids commented that they preferred the old pizza better. I guess you can't please everyone, and if the kids are busy playing it's better for the adults to enjoy the pizza, huh?! I was impressed with the thick crust, toppings piled high, and overall yummy taste.

After a rather rushed dinner (who wants to "waste time" eating when you can be playing?!) everyone split up for the fun. We used a coupon to get extra tokens (I believe it was $15.00 for 90 tokens-if you're not already a member, sign up for the free CEC emails and receive great coupons!). That way we all had plenty of tokens. One of my favorites is air hockey; I have loved playing since I was very young! I enjoy challenging family members to air hockey duels :)
Probably the highlight of the evening was when J beat the high score on the basketball game. The high score has been 104, J got 106 and then 116! Needless to say, he was pleased! (He was also nice enough to share the extra 200 tickets with his younger sisters).

I asked M (the 10 year old) to share a little bit about what she enjoys most at Chuck E. Cheese's, so read on for a kid's view. (I did correct spelling/grammar, but these are her own words :)

"It was so great I got to ride a horse, bowl, race a boat and play Deal or No Deal.  They also have a roller coaster ride which is scary and fun! In the little kids section there is a rubber ducky game, a car ride, a picture-taker and a million other games! My favorites are riding the horse and Deal or No Deal. It was soo great while riding the horse; there is a screen in front of you so you can see how far ahead you are."

Thanks, M! As you can tell, the whole family enjoyed their visit to Chuck E. Cheese's! The manager was extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring that we had the best time possible. Here are some more pictures of our fun:

M takes the wheel!

"Chuck E. Cheese's features age appropriate games, rides, prizes, food and entertainment that children of all ages from toddlers to big kids will love. We also provide great food for the family including freshly baked pizzas and a garden fresh salad bar. We are a great place to take the kids for everyday fun or for special occasions such as birthdays, play groups and school fundraising events. We believe that today, more than ever, kids need a safe, wholesome environment in which they can laugh, play and simply enjoy being kids."
