Nature's Path Organic Cereal Review!!

I have a confession-I love cold cereal. It is, in fact, my second favorite snack (only ice cream is above cereal on my list). I eat cereal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks. (My Dad actually calls me a cereal-killer :) So I was very excited when given the opportunity to review some cereal from Nature's Path Organic! I received a box of Optimum Slim Cereal, Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise, and also a box of Lotta Apricotta Granola Bars.

I tried the cereal first, and I liked that both of the cereals had a variety of texture. It's not just corn flakes or crisped's like combining a few cereals in one! Both of them were delicious, but my favorite is the Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise. (I'm actually eating a bowl of it as I type :) It is absolutely incredible! A wonderful, rich vanilla flavor with puffs, crispies and flakes. This yummy cereal is not only organic, but also gluten-free making it a great choice.

The Optimum Slim is also very tasty, and has multi-whole-grain flakes. This cereal has a high fiber content, and has a great vanilla flavor as well.
I honestly wasn't sure I'd like the Lotta Apricotta Granola Bars. I tried apricots quite a few years ago, and didn't like the flavor. But these granola bars looked good so I tried a bite...and ended up eating the whole bar! The apricot pieces give a nice, chewy consistency to the bar, and add a nice flavor as well. I discovered that I actually do like apricot! The roasted almonds are an excellent add-in (I'm a sucker for anything with pecans, walnuts or almonds) and I love the yogurt drizzled over the bar! I was very happily surprised with these!

"We aspire to advance the cause of people and planet, along the path to sustainability. And we like to think we put our money where our mouth is. Or rather, where our heart is. Because growing organic, healthy foods in a sustainable way is our passion—the cornerstone of our family company. It’s where, and how, it all began.

But we also know that when it comes down to it—no matter what kind of a difference we want to make as a company, and no matter how much you share those values—if our food isn’t delicious and exciting, we’re not living up to our fullest potential.
Healthy foods don’t need to be boring and tasteless. Which is why we spend our days and nights dreaming up new recipes, tracking down exotic new ingredients, and researching the latest (or most ancient) superfoods. We know you’ll be pretty impressed when you read our labels. But we hope you’ll be even more impressed when you take your first bite."

  1. This is a great company; I've tried their cereals since my husband is gluten free and they're great. Maybe I'll now try the granola bars.
