Monave Mineral Cosmetics Review! LLG
I don't personally wear makeup in the general sense. I do wear lip gloss (pale colors) and nail polish (if you consider that makeup :), but I don't use normal makeup. However, I found a really neat makeup company. Monave-which stands for Modern, Natural, Versatile, carries mineral make up and natural skincare. I was able to choose 4 mineral shadows for review, and the neat thing is that these aren't just for eyeshadow. These are mineral powders that you can use in a variety of ways! I opted for 4 pale, yet feminine colors- Rose, Soft Fuschia, Wave, and White Sparkle.
I used the White Sparkle powder with my lip gloss. It was so easy, and added a hint of sparkle to an otherwise clear gloss! I just dipped the end of my gloss stick in the powder, and then applied as usual. Very nice!
I also tried adding the powders to clear nail polish. I used the Wave first, which is a very light blue. I mixed a little in with my nail polish, and, again, applied as usual. I love the hint of blue this adds! Not bright enough to be very noticeable or clash with anything, but a subtle hint of blue that looks really nice! I really like having the ability to turn my clear lip gloss and nail polish into a variety of shades and colors!
"Monave started as a little seed...a dream to make makeup by hand, with simple ingredients. The seed also had the expectation that the products had to be high-quality, high-performance. I grew up working in health food stores, and much of the natural makeup wasn't very good. I didn't want Monave to be just another so-so natural makeup brand. As my little tree grew, so did my dream. It started to extend into the realm of developing and nurturing other women's ability and knowledge to create and sell their own makeup line. Some say that creates competition, but truly, the root of the tree lies in what is given away, not what is held tight."
