I don't know about you, but peanut butter is a staple in our family. A basic necessity of life. Whether it's peanut butter sandwiches (with a variety of other toppings from banana to jelly, marshmallows to honey); smoothies, shakes, slathered on fresh fruit-we love it all! I was excited when Krema sent me 2 jars of their Natural Peanut Butter for review. I received 1 jar of creamy and 1 jar of crunchy peanut butter. I eat both creamy and crunchy, but my favorite is definitely crunchy. I love the extra nuts! The Krema peanut butter is a little more runny than other brands (because it is natural), but I really liked it that way! It was actually easier to spread. I hid the jar of crunchy peanut butter so the family couldn't use it :) I have really enjoyed my Krema peanut butter! And I love the fact that it is natural! The only ingredient in this jar is peanuts; there is no added sugar or oils! For those on a gluten-free diet, you'll be glad to know this peanut butter is safe for you too :)
Many of our customers rely on our peanut butter as a staple of their diets. With no salt, sugar or hydrogenated vegetable oils added, Krema Peanut Butter is the perfect “health food”! In addition, our local hospital recommends all their patients with heart related problems to eat our peanut butter."
I will definitely be checking for the closest grocery store so I can start eating Krema peanut butter regularly now!
Krema is giving 2 jars of their awesome Peanut Butter to 2 of my readers! (2 readers win 2 jars each)!

What I learned: Aflatoxin is a compound produced by mold growing on grains and nuts, but this brand of peanut butter is way below the USDA regulated limits for aflatoxin, and it is only carcinogenic in large quantities, anyway.

ReplyDeleteI like peanut butter in my sandwich.
ReplyDeleteI learned "We intentionally grind our peanut butter very fine to make the peanut butter creamy so that when stored in the refrigerator to retard the oil separation it does not become too hard to spread. You can regulate to some extent the creaminess of the peanut butter by pouring off excess oil and then adding it back as you use the jar. Store the peanut oil in the refrigerator."

I learned about a great treat I can make my dogs with their peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteIngredients:
2 ½ cup whole wheat flour
2 eggs
½ cup canned pumpkin
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
My dogs would LOVE this. I worry about what I give them with the recalls that there have been before with dog products so this is awesome.

I actually don't like peanut butter (I know right?) but my family loves it. Hubby eats it out of the jar with a spoon and my teenage daughter pitches a fit because he has put his spoon in the jar she wants to make her peanut butter sandwiches with. Lol.
