Gallery Direct Fine Art Framed Canvas Review!!

While I am not, by any means, an artist or a art collector, I do love having beautiful pictures hung around our home. My favorite are landscape scenes, which makes sense since I love to travel and see different parts of the country. I recently found a website that offers an enormous (almost endless) variety of fine art and photos that you can order in several different formats; from canvas to acrylic, mirror to aluminum, you are sure to find a medium that will fit your decor.  And, of course, I totally enjoyed browsing the landscape section! There are soooo many gorgeous, breathtaking pictures! From peaceful countryside to awe-inspiring sunrises, I thoroughly enjoyed browsing! I was able to choose a piece of art for review from Gallery Direct, and yes, I chose a landscape. I received the Backroad print by artist Jon Eric Narnum, and I have to admit it took me a half hour or so to decide how I wanted it.

I finally settled on a framed canvas print, with a natural brown frame.  Due to not having any real large spaces for hanging pictures, I went with the small size, which measures 24"x20" total, and 18"x14" for the print. After placing my order, I anxiously awaited my art's arrival. It came in within about 8-9 days, and I was surprised at the size of the package. However, upon opening it, I realized it was so large to ensure the print was not damaged at all during shipment. In addition to bubble wrap on top of bubble wrap, the frame was enclosed in cardboard as well. When I finally got the actual print out in the open :) I was awed. The picture is much more beautiful than the website shows! It draws you into the scene; a peaceful country road lined by green pastures and a cloudy sky. The frame really looks beautiful as well, and makes the perfect border for the scene. I hung the canvas up in our study area, and soon afterwards my brother walked in. He asked where I got the piece, and commented on how nice it looked. (Those of you with teenage boys in your family will understand why that shocked me-they usually don't notice home decor beyond the refrigerator and dining room table!). I was very pleased with how nice the picture looks hanging in the study; it gives a breath of fresh air (literally) to an otherwise rather dull room.

In addition to fine art, Gallery Direct offers stock photo prints, or you can upload your own photo and have it printed, framed and delivered to your door! Some framed canvas art from Gallery Direct would be the perfect gift, housewarming present, or just a little indulgence for your own home!
