HSH-Viva Editions Cookbooks Review and Giveaway!!

Making mealtimes memorable is a big part of having a home sweet home. After all, no matter how nicely your home is decorated, if family and friends don't look forward to dinner at your home, then you really don't have a home sweet home. That's why I was excited when Viva Editions offered to send me a few of their books. 


I received the Frugal Foodie Cookbook: Waste-Not Recipes For The Wise Cook, Fix It Make It Grow It Bake It: The DIY Guide To The Good Life, and a copy of the new release The Lazy Gourmet: Magnificent Meals Made Easy. 

The DIY Guide to the Good Life is written by Billee Sharp, and is, to be honest, my favorite out of the 3 books. I absolutely love the tips and hints for living a healthier life on a tight budget. This includes suggestions for everything from kitchen cures to planting a veggie garden; homemade sea salt scrubs to simple, easy party decorations and natural cleanser recipes to tasty homemade pizza sauces. I definitely recommend this book to any woman who is looking to improve their home!

The Frugal Foodie Cookbook is another great book. This one is written by Lara Starr and Lynette Shirk. I am out of town at a hotel right now, but I am looking forward to trying out some of these recipes! Wings are one of my favorite snacks (or meals), and this book includes several different sauce recipes. Mmmm! And the Mac and Cheese recipe looks absolutely delicious!

The Lazy Gourmet, as you can probably tell by the title, includes recipes for a little but more...well...gourmet foods! Roasted Tomato-Curry Soup, Chicken with Lemon and Olives followed by Miniature Flourless Chocolate Cakes sounds like a good meal to me! This book is great for those who do a lot of entertaining or get-togethers.
