Heavenly Flowers Floral Arrangement Video Review and Giveaway!!

Hey everyone, today's Home Sweet Home feature is a unique "product". Angie Zimmerman of Flower Arranging 101 contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing one of her arrangement videos. I have to admit, I am not very flower-savvy, so of course I jumped at the chance to learn a neat flower arrangement. Angie sent me a picture of some of her arrangements, and I immediately fell in love with the Flower Puppy.

So, we decided to use the video on learning to make a Flower Puppy for the review and giveaway. The neat thing is that there are so many occasions this would be perfect for! My little sister will be 11 this year, and she would adore one of these! (I'll have to practice up so I can make her one!). And, as Angie points out in the video, it makes a great party theme. These would be so adorable as centerpieces on your table at a birthday party, girls sleepover or any fun event. 
I watched the Flower Puppy video, and Angie makes this process so easy and fun. The directions are very clear and easy to follow. I also appreciated that she tells you in advance exactly what you will need to make the arrangement. (Unlike some cooking shows I've seen where halfway through the recipe you suddenly learn there's another ingredient you need!). Angie takes you step-by-step through the process. From gathering your essentials to trimming the floral foam, placing the flowers, etc. Each step is shown in close detail to make the arrangement easy! 

"I used to work for corporate American and then one day, in 1991, they were trying to downsize and entice people to leave the company and they came out with an offer that was just too good not to take. You see, I always knew I wanted to own my own business and I knew I loved flowers. So, I thought, why not do this now, leave my corporate job and give a flower shop a try. I was given money to leave, so I was comfortable knowing I could pay my bills while I was experimenting with owning my own business and really learning flower arranging. While I had an innate ability to design with flowers, I felt I needed some formal education if I was going to own a flower shop and sell flowers to the public. It turns out, not ALL flower shop owners feel this way. Some just open their doors and sell flowers, YIKES! Anyway, I owned a flower shop for 10 years in San Ramon, Ca. When my husband’s corporate job got relocated to El Dorado Hills, Ca. I was forced to sell my shop because El Dorado Hills was two hours away from San Ramon, and that was with no traffic!

I opened another shop in El Dorado Hills, but this time I decided I wanted to focus on what brought me the greatest amount of satisfaction, and that was doing wedding flowers. I love, love, love doing wedding flowers. I guess I am a bit of a romantic at heart. I love Valentine’s Day, I love hearts, I love flowers, I love weddings. I love helping brides get the most out of their budget and to see the value of expressing their emotions through flowers. I also love parties and celebrations of any kind, so I expanded my reach and included any type of event flowers as part of my business.n 2008, the recession started affecting vendors in the wedding industry. Brides and Grooms just couldn’t afford to get married. Many of them postponed their wedding date and some just opted to do as much themselves as possible, the Do It Yourself (DIY) trend grew tremendously and is still growing.
