Mmmm! Can you smell the cinnamon? No?! Well, you're surely missing out. See, I was sent the Cinnamon Bun Mix from King Arthur Flour for review, and I made them today. Sooo, if you can't smell them...it's your loss! I started mixing them up this afternoon, and by early evening, the hole house was permeated with a wonderful cinnamon scent! Let me start at the beginning, though :)
The mix comes with most of the necessary ingredients-all you need is a couple tablespoons of milk, butter and water. The dough, cinnamon filling and vanilla glaze mixes are all included.
Then I rolled the dough up, cut it into 10 rolls, and placed it in a pan to rise for another 1 1/2 hours.
By this time, the cinnamon scent was wafting into other areas of the house than just the kitchen. Finally it was time to bake the rolls, and in 25 minutes, they were done baking. While they cooled I stirred up the vanilla glaze, and then drizzled it over the warm rolls.
Are you drooling yet? |
So, my thoughts on King Arthur Flour's Cinnamon Bun Mix? A definite hit! You get a delicious, homemade flavor, and it's easier than making them from scratch!
"Making naturally pure and consistently high-performing flour for over 200 years is no easy task, but we take such pride in our flour that we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re motivated by knowing that every day, people across the country count on our flour - on us - to make their baking the best it can be. And as a 100% employee-owned company, that’s a responsibility every single one of us takes very seriously.
King Arthur Flour is America’s oldest flour company, founded in Boston in 1790 to provide pure, high-quality flour for residents of the newly formed United States. For more than 200 years, we have stood by our commitment to purity and quality. Our flours are free of unnecessary chemicals - never bleached, never bromated - and we hold them to the strictest specifications in the industry so you know that every bag you get - today, next month, or 10 years from now - will perform the same way. King Arthur Flour is available at most major supermarkets nationwide and through our catalogue."
