King Arthur Flour Cinnamon Buns-Review and Giveaway!!

Mmmm! Can you smell the cinnamon? No?! Well, you're surely missing out. See, I was sent the Cinnamon Bun Mix from King Arthur Flour for review, and I made them today. Sooo, if you can't smell them...it's your loss! I started mixing them up this afternoon, and by early evening, the hole house was permeated with a wonderful cinnamon scent! Let me start at the beginning, though :)
The mix comes with most of the necessary ingredients-all you need is a couple tablespoons of milk, butter and water. The dough, cinnamon filling and vanilla glaze mixes are all included.

The first step is just mixing up the dough ingredients, then kneading for a few minutes. After kneading, it's into the bowl for an hour to let the dough rise!

While the dough was rising, I mixed up the filling paste. Then it was time to roll the dough out into a rectangle. I must confess, this is my least favorite part of making cinnamon rolls. (Just how do you get flexible bread dough to mold into the perfect rectangle?!) Anyways, once I had it in a decently rectangular shape, I spread the cinnamon filling on.

Then I rolled the dough up, cut it into 10 rolls, and placed it in a pan to rise for another 1 1/2 hours.

By this time, the cinnamon scent was wafting into other areas of the house than just the kitchen. Finally it was time to bake the rolls, and in 25 minutes, they were done baking. While they cooled I stirred up the vanilla glaze, and then drizzled it over the warm rolls.

Are you drooling yet?
At last! The cinnamon rolls were ready to eat! They turned out absolutely delicious! The kids gave them 2 thumbs up, and I definitely love how easy it was to make. One major difference I noticed is that the glaze is so much neater and easy to apply than when I make cinnamon rolls from scratch. My glaze is a mess of butter and cinnamon-sugar, while this was more of a paste that didn't leak all over! There was plenty of icing to go around too; something that is very important in our family! Everyone always looks for the roll with the most icing!
So, my thoughts on King Arthur Flour's Cinnamon Bun Mix? A definite hit! You get a delicious, homemade flavor, and it's easier than making them from scratch!
