So, if you're wondering how a Sewing book is tied into the Spring Fashion Fling-the answer is easy. I love having the ability to sew my own clothes, or even just making a small change or addition to a skirt I have bought. Several times I have seen a skirt style I really liked, and gone about designing one (or more) like it. I did the same thing with a cute little jumper for my younger sisters quite a few years ago. We saw an adorable bib jumper, and when I couldn't find a pattern for it, I made one myself :)
Then, of course, I often add lace or a ruffle to my skirts. I have also added a contrasting fabric to the neckline of a few of my dresses.
