Jacked Card Racing Game-Review!!

Here's another new game I have to share with you all, especially for those of you still shopping for gifts! It's a game called Jacked Card Racing, and while it's aimed mainly at children (especially boys) ages 5-12, I am guessing that this game will be a hit with people of all ages! I know I really enjoyed it!
Jacked is played with cards that form a race track. The cars/moving pieces are also cards, and once you catch on to the point system, it is very easy to play!  This game has a very simple method to moving ahead in the race (simply match the traffic lights on your card to the lights on the track card), so even a young child can play! At the same time, it is a very fun game that will have even the adults in the family wanting to play again and again! There are also 3 different levels of play (beginner, advanced and expert), depending on the modifiers and rules you use.

I had the chance to meet Holland Wood, designer of Jacked Card Racing, and he gave me one of their media packs, which includes 2 track decks, 4 car decks, a t-shirt and some other Jacked promo items. As soon as we got back to the hotel, E was begging to play, so we sat down and "built" a track on the floor. The track decks include some information about the track (location, condition, type, course, etc.) and can be built like a real track, or in a straight line (E thought it was a little easier in a line).  The car decks also come with information; type, driver, chassis, engine, power, etc. Some of these factor into the game when you play at more advanced levels, but as we're just starting out, E wanted to play beginner a few times first. We quickly got the hang of it, and were able to finish a race very quickly. It is a lot of fun! I think next time we'll try out some of the modifiers for more advanced playing.

E immediately claimed my shirt!

There are over 20 Jacked cars that players can collect, and you can even register online (for free!) to keep track of the cars you "own", and victories you've won. It's called MyGarage, and yes, E already signed up :)
