Wilton is one of the best-known names when it comes to cake-making and decorating. And, really, they're a great company to shop for all your baking needs. Or, if you're looking for a great gift idea, any cook would love a gift from Wilton! 
Recently I had the opportunity to review some of their Brownie baking products. I was sent the 9 in Square Covered Brownie Pan, Blossom Brownie Pops Silicone Mold and the Brownie Fun! Book. 

The Brownie Fun book is filled with ideas to make some extra-special brownies. From Mint Brownies to fun designs for kids, you're sure to find an idea you'll want to try!  The back of the book also has recipes-basic fudge brownies, peanut butter brownies, brownie pizza, and plenty more. My little sisters have had a lot of fun going through picking out which brownies they want to make first.

I made the fudge brownie recipe, and I am thrilled with how well they turned out! I have tried so many from-scratch brownie recipes that turn out dry brownies. These brownies, though, are lusciously rich and fudgy! My Mom, who is probably even a little pickier than I am, also said this was the best brownie recipe she's tasted.  Both of us much prefer our brownies fudgy and chewy, and this recipe makes the perfect brownie!

I also made some "Brownie Blossoms" with the silicone pan. I love, love, love silicone bakeware! They are so easy to use, store, and clean! My little sisters of course loved their flower-shaped brownies :)

The company had its beginnings in 1929 when Dewey McKinley Wilton opened a cake decorating and candy making school for caterers and chefs in a single room of his Chicago, Illinois, home. He grew up working in a candy factory possibly at the age of 14 or 15 years old where he learned to perfect his craft of pulled sugar candy making. He eventually learned about cake decorating from German and French pastry chefs and in return he would teach them about pulled sugar. Wow! I didn't realize Wilton had their start back in the 20's!
