Here's a very unique gift idea to ad to your shopping list-it's a digital bookmark, called Mark-My-Time. This is a great tool to record homework time, or any other reading. When I was younger, my Dad used to joke about having to limit how much time I spent reading. I admit it, my sister and I both were (and still are) big readers. Anything from Trixie Belden to the Black Stallion, and some of my personal favorites, missionary biographies. I would read all the time...even during chore time, occasionally! So, it's no surprise that it used to be a family joke that we had a certain amount of reading time a day.

My 2 younger sisters have enjoyed using this while doing schoolwork. It makes it very easy to track and record how much time they have spent at their books. It works great, and is made of a nice sturdy plastic, so it's not going to break easily. There are multiple benefits with this, such as a programmable countdown timer with alarm, cumulative timer for multi-session reading, and a 60-second fluency timer. Just the right size to fit in a book, too!
