Inspiration Art Review!!

If you're looking for a great place to find Christian-themed posters, then you have to check out Inspiration Art! I love finding Christian art to put on the walls of our home, and Inspiration Art has some of the most beautiful and unique posters I've ever seen.

"InspirationArt & Scripture, Inc. came into being when a team felt led by the Lord to find a powerful, effective way to personally minister to young people. They had noted the proliferation in the marketplace of rock music-related items, such as t-shirts, hats, jumbo posters, etc. While these types of items appealed strongly to teens, the messages which these items presented was most often negative and worldly. Turning then to the Christian marketplace, the team realized that there seemed to be a lack of items geared toward Christian youth. Posters in the Christian market seemed to lack the edge, the pure power of God's Word, and the contemporary graphics necessary to get youths' attention.

It was these observations which led the team to develop and produce a line of posters relating strong, Christ-centered messages designed to reach youths where they're at. Using the life and work experience which God had blessed them with they began a company called InspirationArt & Scripture, Inc.

Their mission was to produce a product which would serve to affirm and strengthen the personal faith of our youth, who are bombarded from every side by a society trying to tear it down. Young people today want bold images and strong messages that will proclaim their faith in Jesus, witness to friends and family, and remind them of the truth and power of God's Word in their own lives."

I had the opportunity to speak with Charles, and found out that Inspiration Art was actually one of the first companies to start producing Christian posters! Inspiration Art generously sent me 6 of their 24 x 36 posters for review. My favorite poster is the Lion of Judah. It is so powerful, and the picture really brings the verse to life!

If that doesn't give you chills...there's something wrong with you! Seriously, this is an amazing poster. It really makes you think about the holiness and power of Jesus Christ...yet He became the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world! WOW!

I also received the Footprints, 10 Commandments (vertical), Real Love, Names of Christ, and Trust In The Lord. I found it interesting that while on the Lion of Judah poster, the picture is the main focus, some of the posters present the Scripture passage in such a way that it grabs your attention...no picture is necessary.  For example, the Trust In The Lord poster has a very dramatic look...you don't need a picture to grasp the point of the poster:

Then, of course, some of the posters don't have a direct Scripture quote on them...simply a message that is found in the Bible, but not a direct passage:

This poster reminds me that Jesus Christ showed real love for us when He died one of the most horrible, cruel deaths possible. It brings to mind some of my favorite verses, found in 2 Corinthians 5. "For the LOVE of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again."
What a powerful poster, that brings a powerful verse to life. Jesus Christ showed us Real Love.

Another poster that I really liked is the Names of Christ. In addition to having a powerful message about Christ, this would make a great poster to hang in a Sunday School room, Church foyer, etc. I really liked that the poster includes the reference under each name, which makes this a perfect teaching tool. I believe this poster is Inspiration Art's best seller, with over 1,300,000 copies sold! I can definitely understand why:

My Mom loves the old Footprints poem, so that was an easy choice when deciding which posters to review. This one will probably end up hanging somewhere in her house. Almost everyone has probably heard at least part of the Footprints poem, and this is a beautiful portrayal of it.

The 10 Commandments poster I found very neat, in that it gives a great sense of the holiness of God. It almost brings to life the awe Moses must have felt as God Himself wrote these commands on the stone tablets. This is another poster where the graphic and verse work together, and give a very forceful statement.

Needless to say, I will be making a trip to the craft store soon to pick up some new frames for these posters. I can't wait to get them hung, and add some great Christian decor to our home!

I highly recommend Inspiration Art to anyone looking to add some Christian decor to their house. They have a great selection, and you're sure to find something you'll love.
