Cold Stone Creamery 8 Layer Cake Review and Giveaway!!

Cold Stone Creamery is my favorite ice cream shop. I love all the mix-ins available, and the variety of ice cream flavors as well. My favorite is the Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip, but I do try out new flavors as well. Recently Cold Stone Creamery sent me a $30.00 gift card, so I could try out their new 8-Layer cakes! 

I had seen these advertised, and thought they looked very tasty. So, of course I was thrilled! I went in to the local Cold Stone Creamery and ordered my cake. I guess most locations they are only $28.95, but probably because we were in Chicago, it was $30.95. No big deal, I paid a couple dollars for the cake! About half of our family doesn't like coffee, so I ordered the Cake Batter cake. I really wanted to try the Quilted Coffee Caramel...anytime you mix coffee and caramel with ice cream, it's gotta be good! But, for those in my family who don't appreciate the beauty of coffee, we went with the Cake Batter Layers. The cake was ready the next day, and we brought it back to the hotel where we were staying. The cake itself looked delicious, and we couldn't wait to dig in! 

We had one slight problem, however...since we were staying at a hotel, we didn't have a knife. All the hotel had were little plastic knives, so my sister and I proceeded to saw off (yes, we literally sawed) slices of cake! 

Okay, so it was a little messy, but wow, was the cake ever worth it! Delicious!!! 3 layers of yellow cake, 3 layers of cake batter ice cream, and 2 layers of cookie dough mix-ins. All topped with yummy cake batter frosting, hot fudge and chocolate shavings!  It was very, very good! I would guess this cake would easily feed 8-10 people. With 7 of us eating it, we still had a couple pieces left over to put in the freezer for later!
