If you've never tasted Biscoff Cookies, then you're missing out! Biscoff Cookies are gourmet cookies made by Lotus Bakeries.
"Lotus Bakeries story begins in Belgium in 1932 when the Boone family began baking the decorative caramelized biscuits and delivering them door to door in their signature red truck. Over the past 78 years, Boone family members have turned a once-small enterprise into a world-renowned business - "Lotus Bakeries" - by honoring a tradition of craftsmanship and personal service.
For more than 75 years, Lotus Bakeries has been baking Europe’s favorite cookies and sweets, developing a global following from coffee-drinkers and travelers alike. Lotus Bakeries’ signature Biscoff cookie, derived from “bis”cuit and “coff”ee, is sweet but not overly sugary, with a crisp, caramelized taste that perfectly complements coffee – perfect for adults (as well as kids.)
Unlike any other cookie, Lotus Bakeries popularity ‘soared’ when, in 1984, Delta Airlines distributed Biscoff cookies to its passengers who quickly began asking where they could purchase them. Since then, Biscoff cookies have made air travel a little sweeter on nearly every domestic airline and most international carriers, and are sold via catalog and online in the U.S. at www.biscoff.com."
I was sent a variety pack of Biscoff Cookies. They came in a lovely box, and included just about every packaging style available! These delicious cookies come in twin packs, value packs, family packs, and more! You can find them at your local Walgreen's or Wal-Mart, as a 2 pack of individually wrapped cookies. These cookies get their unique name from biscuit "bis" and coffee "coff"=Biscoff! The cookies are very tasty, and are the perfect snack...they also go great with a cup of coffee on a cool evening! And, with only 30 calories per cookie, you don't have to feel guilty about indulging! I was surprised at how delicious these are! I'm rather picky about my snacks, and these are perfect! Not too rich, but with a definite sweet treat flavor!
So good that M even shared with her doll!
I also received a sample of the Biscoff Spread, which is actually made with the Biscoff cookies. It looks like peanut butter, and is basically used the same way...it tastes delicious on fresh fruit! It's sweet, and has a creamy spreading texture so you can use it in all the ways you would use peanut butter.
So, if you're looking for a quick pick-me-up snack during your holiday shopping, a sit-down-and-relax treat to have with your coffee break, or even as a gift, check out Biscoff Cookies!
