"The idea for our family business was hatched in the winter of 2006, when we girls began sewing one-of-a-kind handbags for family and friends.  We officially launched marie-madeline studio in December 2007.  Since then, our creative endeavors have grown to include bags of all shapes and sizes,aprons, little girls' clothing, and ladies' clothing.  Our exclusive marie-madeline sewing patterns debuted this year, and our favorite fabric lines are now available to our customers through our online fabric store!  The ready-made products we offer are all handcrafted, by the five of us, in our home studio.  Thank you for taking time to stop by our little corner of the world!"


"The Long Ladies" generously sent me an ankle-length Route 66 Denim Skirt to review. As I have said before, I love denim. Actually, I practically live in denim, other than for Church and special events that require something dressier.  This skirt, though, is at the top of my "favorite skirt list"! It is sooo comfy, and fits perfect!  I love the extra-long length (39-inches) that means it really is ankle-length on me! This is a 12-gore skirt (I absolutely love gored skirts, so it made for a double-favorite!) with an invisible side zipper. I chose the indigo 8 oz. denim for my skirt, and it is lovely. Not too lightweight, but not all stiff, either. And a lovely color!  The skirt looks like it was store-bought, and I have had quite a few compliments/questions about it! (Yes, I pointed people to the Marie Madeline Studio website!) 
I have to say...a new denim skirt from Marie Madeline Studio would make the perfect gift! Every woman loves new clothes, and you can't get much better than a denim skirt! :)
