I think I've mentioned before that I love pictures. And, with several digital cameras in our family, we end up with a lot of photos stored on our hard drives!  I enjoy having some of the special pictures printed off though, and put somewhere easy to show to friends.  Somewhere like a Photo Book! Lulu.com recently offered me the chance to create and review a photo book, and I jumped at the chance :)

Lulu offers a nice variety when ordering photo books. I was able to choose the size (they have about 7 sizes available), hardcover or soft, and then choose a theme for the book.  I picked the Vintage look, and then started adding pictures :)  I liked that I was able to decide how many pictures I wanted on each page, and could even add text if I wanted. It made it easy to add a caption to certain pictures, or even a certain page. For example, I devoted one page to each member of my family, and was able to put their name on that page. I also included a picture of my parents at their 27th wedding anniversary dinner, and put the date, etc. on the bottom of the page.  I think it makes the book a little bit more special than just having photos in it.  When my photo book came in I was very pleased with how nicely it turned out!  Very professional-looking, and the perfect thing to put on the coffee table. I showed it to a friend, and she thought it was great! Here are pictures of a couple pages from my book:

Lulu was founded in 2002 in Raleigh, NC by Bob Young. In addition to photo books, they also offer the opportunity for people to self-publish their books, whether hardcover, softcover, cookbooks, mini books, etc.
