Glee Gum Educational Candy Kits Review and Giveaway!!

Glee Gum offers all natural chewing gum, but they also have really neat Make-Your-Own-Candy kits for kids!  You can choose from Chocolate, Chewing Gum or Gummies, and the kit comes with all the necessary ingredients to make your choice of candy! 


Glee Gum generously let me choose a kit to review, and we picked the Gummies.  My younger siblings love sour gummy worms, so I knew they would have fun with this! One of the neat things about this kit is in includes real seaweed from the Philippines that you get to boil, which extracts the carrageenan needed for the gummies to "gel".  The instructions are very easy to follow, and each step is outlined in clear detail. Adult supervision is recommended, because you do have to boil the mixture (either in the microwave or on the stove).  My sisters had a lot of fun making the gummies, and thought the seaweed was neat!  They also had fun making "molds" for the gummy shapes...they used everything from bottle caps to spoons, to their fingers/thumbs!  After pouring the gel mixture into the molds and refrigerating them for 10 minutes, you have the option of leaving them like regular gummies, or coating them with the sour mixture.  Of course, we chose to make them all sour gummies, and they are really good!  The girls had a lot of fun with this kit :)
