Kuhn-Rikon Cookie Press Review!

Kuhn Rikon is a company that was founded in Switzerland, and had it's beginnings all the way back in 1819!

"KUHN RIKON AG is a family-run firm based in Rikon with subsidiaries in Great Britain, Spain and the United States of America. A sales office in Singapore cares for the customers in Asia.
We develop, produce and distribute high quality cookware and accessories for the kitchen that make cooking not only easier, but more pleasurable too. Thanks to a close cooperation with consumers, home economics colleges and research institutes, we now have a comprehensive range of cookware and kitchenware that not only  satisfies the requirements of consumers but also those of our partners in the trade, who are able to offer their own customers attractive, Swiss quality products."

I had heard of the Kuhn Rikon cookware before, but I did not realize the extent of their selections! They have everything from specialty pots and pans to pressure cookers to kitchen tools to "kinderkitchen", fun kitchen tools for kids! For example, check out these adorable kids tools:
White Rabbit Apron
Dog Knife

Wouldn't your child love some of those in the kitchen?!

I was sent the Cookie Press with Storage Box. This is a really nice set that includes 14 different cookie disks, 6 decorating tips, the cookie press, and a container for storage. The press comes apart for easy clean-up, and is dishwasher safe, too! The kids had loads of fun with this! (Okay, okay...I admit it. I had a lot of fun too :)

The set comes with a few recipes designed for use with this press, so we tried the Vanilla Cookie recipe. This is an easy recipe that only uses basic ingredients...things you always have on hand! We mixed it up, and proceeded to use the press...

And here's what we ended up with...
Beautiful Butterfly-shaped cookies!

We tried out a couple of the other shapes as well...dinosaurs and flowers! Then it was time to decorate! We made the regular confectioner's sugar icing for some, and used melted chocolate chips for the rest. Both were good, but the chocolate-covered cookies were the biggest hit!

Chocolate...the best icing!

Sugary sweet icing!

I am really impressed with this cookie press, and the kids are already planning more cookie-baking! They love all the different shapes they can make :)  And the cookies are the perfect size for their tea parties, too!
I definitely recommend you check out Kuhn Rikon for any of your cooking and baking needs. They have high-quality products at very reasonable prices!
