By Design by Jonathan Sarfati-Book Review

I was given the opportunity recently to review the book By Design: Evidence For Nature's Intelligent Designer-the God of the Bible. This book was written by Dr. Jonathan Sarfati, who has authored many other books regarding the Creation/evolution debate, including Refuting Evolution 1 & 2. This book deals with the issue of design, and offers fact after fact showing that evolution could never have "designed" the amazing things we see and use in everyday life. By Design is slightly reminiscent of the Incredible Creatures That Defy Evolution dvds by Dr. Jobe Martin, in that it brings up fascinating designs that could only have come about through a Designer. My favorite chapter is the one on vision (absolutely incredible!), but the whole book is filled with amazing information. I also really enjoyed the chapter on "poorly designed things", as this area is sure to be brought up if you talk to an evolutionist for any length of time. One thing is for sure-if you read this book, you will gain a greater appreciation for the stunning beauty and ingenuity revealed in God's creation.
It seems nowadays that you can hardly go anywhere without hearing or seeing something about "billions of years", and the evolution community is getting stronger and louder everyday. As Bible-believing Christians, it is our responsibility to "give an answer to every man that asketh" (1 Pet. 3:15). This book is an excellent way to equip yourself with answers for those who will question your faith. I highly recommend By Design to any Christian who is sincerely interested in learning more about the Creation/evolution debate. This book can be purchased online for 15.00 at Creation Ministries International. To order By Design or other great resources, click on the CMI banner on my right sidebar!
